We're very excited to present Rosie Daykin x The Sleep Shirt, a capsule collection of striped sleepwear designed in collaboration with author and baker Rosie Daykin in honour of the release of her third book, Let Me Feed You.
Rosie Daykin is the owner of Butter Baked Goods in Vancouver, Canada, and the bestselling author of Butter Baked Goods and Butter Celebrates! She has been a passionate home cook since she was six years old. After a career as an interior designer, she transformed her dream of opening a bakery into a phenomenal success story, with products sold at 300 fine retailers across the world.
The Rosie Daykin x The Sleep Shirt collaboration features ten styles, including four shapes and three fabrics. A long-time fan of The Sleep Shirt, and lifelong lover of striped shirts (which feature throughout her book), Rosie chose a selection of blue and white striped cottons and linens for the collection. Shapes include a new nightshirt shape called the Slip on Sleep Shirt, a pared down version of the classic nightshirts that the brand is best known for. Featuring an oversized body and a open placket, this shape is available in One Size and Plus.
Our best selling Sleeveless Nightie is a favourite of Rosie’s. The simple, feminine nightie features an adjustable neckline and a gentle flared shape and is available in all three stripes. The Slim Sleep Shirt was designed as a nightshirt but works equally well as a day shirt, featuring a slim body, front pockets, and classic shirt collar. Rounding off the collection is the brand’s Lounge Pant, a classic pyjama pant with a drawstring front waist and elastic back.
The collection's fabrications include two 100% cottons and a 100% linen. The Cook’s Blue Stripe is a cotton shirting featuring different shades of blue and a delicate crosshatch pattern running through the stripes. The Sunday Uniform Stripe is blue and white striped cotton with a gentle texture and a nice weight so it isn't too sheer. The Blueberry Stripe Linen features a triple striped pattern and will keep you cool in bed, around the house, or maybe even out in the sun.
“I bought my very first Sleep Shirt at least 5 years ago and I still own it and wear it all the time. I so appreciate the quality and timelessness of all of Alexandra’s designs, I’m beyond flattered that I got the chance to work with her on this project" - Rosie Daykin
