Our Spring 2020 collection is in store, filled with chic sleepwear, loungewear and resort wear for the warmer seasons ahead. The collection was designed to have a large variety of nightshirts that double as day dresses, linen tunic tops, and oversized shirts to be worn at home or on the go. We were inspired by pastel tones of pink and lilac that make up a springtime wardrobe for laid back Sundays and outdoor lounging.
Each new season features a new nightshirt, so we've introduced the Flared Sleep Shirt to our assortment. This cotton or linen shirt dress features a high low hem, slash pockets and a three-quarter length sleeve. Designed to be oversized like our classic nightshirts, the Flared Sleep Shirt is perfect to be thrown on as a day dress and comfy enough to sleep in. This shape will be available in a variety of cottons and linens from our classic and new selections.
The new nightie we'll be adding to the mix is the Flared Ruffle Nightie, a re-designed version of our adored Ruffle Camisole. Essentially an extra long cami, the nightie (or dress) was constructed with a similar v-neck front and racerback back, but has been lengthened below the knee to create a feminine A-line shape. The nightie will also be available in a variety of cottons and linens from our classic and new selections.
The fabrics we've chosen for Spring 2020 have bold patterns and classic stripes. We selected a striped seersucker that comes in lilac or pink colourways, which are both available in the classic sleepwear shapes. The bold pattern in the collection is the Navy Pink Check, a colourful 100% cotton that has a cotton gauze feel, which could be mistaken for linen. A more discreet pattern can be found on the Blue Saturn Dot, a white shirting with a woven blue pattern that resembles small celestial planets.
We all love linen at The Sleep Shirt, but this season we found a stand out team favourite. The Amelia Linen Check is a black and white micro graph print that creates a large-scale plaid pattern. The two patterns and tones are intricately mixed throughout each other to appear as light and dark grey hues.
Textured Lilac is the season's new solid print in 100% cotton. The slubbed fabric has an opaque hand that compliments the collection perfectly with its pinky purple floral shade. The fabric will be available in our classic nightshirts, the new nightie and a customer favourite, the Button Down Sleep Shirt.
Lastly, a cotton blend back for its second season, the Milano Featherweight Blend was decided to be brought back for Spring. The 84% cotton 16% linen blend is a beautiful sheer white shirting that has a continuous tone on tone mini horizontal pinstripe. As one of the most lightweight fabrics that’s offered in Spring 2020, the Milano Featherweight Blend is ideal for warm sleepers or to be used in hot temperatures as a resort coverup.
