Previous Returns Policy

If you placed an order on or before July 19th, 2020, the returns policy below will apply to your order:

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, and therefore we will gladly accept any unworn, unwashed, unaltered, or unused full price clothing for a full refund or exchange within 21 calendar days of the purchase. All sale section items sold during a promotional period are final sale. All items purchased using a discount code or store credit are final sale, with the exception of items purchased using the newsletter discount code (see below.) In the case of a refund, we will refund the price of the product and any sales taxes that were paid directly to us. Outside of Canada, import fees and sales taxes are non-refundable through Into the Bedroom Inc. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting the organization to whom you paid them to, your local customs bureau or by hiring a customs broker. Our merchandise is guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects, although in the rare circumstance there is a flaw, we will accept any defective item for an exchange or refund.

EUROPE POP UP: All items in our EUROPE POP UP are eligible for returns and exchanges within 14 days of receiving your product. Please contact info@thesleepshirt.com to initiate a return. You will be required to ship the items back to Canada. All other refund policy terms and conditions apply.

We do not accept returns or exchanges that are not pre-approved by email. Shipping fees are not refunded. Please note that credit notes issued as part of an exchange cannot be combined with other promotions that require the use of a code, for example, the EXTRA20 discount.

1. NIGHTWEAR EXCHANGES /  NORTH AMERICA: Full Priced Nightwear shipped within North America are eligible for free exchanges.

We are happy to exchange items if the product you received was the wrong size, colour, or style, and would like to exchange it for another item on our website. You are able to exchange any nightwear that was purchased at full price up to 21 days after purchase.

Exchanges must be pre-approved by The Sleep Shirt. We ask that you email info@thesleepshirt.com in order to start the exchange process. In your email please make note of the order number, and if you have already made a selection of the new item you would like to exchange it for, please let us know so we can set it aside for you. We are unable to process any exchanges that fail to request approval beforehand.  

Once you have contacted us and your return is approved we will email you a return label and customs documentation* which you will need to print out and attach to the package. The package will then need to be dropped off at a nearby FedEx location. If the item is returned unused and is in its original condition we will ship out the replacement item to you at no additional cost to you.

Please note that orders being returned from outside of Canada will require customs paperwork. If The Sleep Shirt is providing a return label, we will provide you with all of the necessary paperwork which you will simply need to print and attach to the package you are returning to us. If the package is returned to you due to lack of documents, you will be charged any additional fees incurred.

Exchanged items will not be eligible for further exchange or refund. We accept one exchange per order. If the exchange item is valued at more than your original purchase, you will be invoiced for the difference prior to shipping. If the exchange item is valued at less than your original purchase, you will receive a store credit which can be used on full priced clothing. Store credits must be used in one transaction. 

2. NIGHTWEAR EXCHANGES: Full Priced Nightwear shipped outside of North America are eligible for exchanges.

We are happy to exchange items if the product you received was the wrong size, colour, or style, and would like to exchange it for another item on our website. You are able to exchange any nightwear that was purchased at full price up to 21 days after purchase.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges via the courier of their choice. When returning items, please obtain a copy of the package tracking number. Returns must include the customer order number and billing name. You will be responsible for the shipping charges associated with the new item we are sending out, these will need to be paid before we ship the replacement items. We are happy to hold any full priced item for you during this process, simply let us know what you would like.

When shipping goods to us from outside of Canada, please make sure to mark the items as a return with a low value so we do not incur any duties, taxes, or brokerage fees (usually charged if you ship using a ground service.) You will be responsible for any fees that are incurred, should the goods be incorrectly labeled. 

3. FULL PRICED CLOTHING RETURNS

You are able to return all clothing that was purchased at its full price up to 21 days after purchase. Returns must be pre-approved by The Sleep Shirt. Please email info@thesleepshirt.com in order to start the return process and include your order number in the email. We are unable to process any returns or exchanges that fail to request permission beforehand.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges via the courier of their choice. When returning items, please obtain a copy of the package tracking number. Returns must include the customer order number and billing name.

When shipping goods to us from outside of Canada, please make sure to mark the items as a return with a low value so we do not incur any duties, taxes, or brokerage fees (usually charged if you ship using a ground service.) You will be responsible for any fees that are incurred, should the goods be incorrectly labeled. 

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item is no longer in sellable condition. If the item is approved, your refund will be automatically issued to the original method of payment. We will notify you as soon as we process the return. Transactions can often take several business days to appear on your credit card statement.

We do not accept returns or exchanges that are not pre-approved by email. Shipping fees are not refunded.

Sale items or items purchased using a discount code are not eligible for refunds or exchange. We do not process refunds on sleepwear over $750. Refund requests over $750 will result in a $750 refund and the remaining balance in store credit.

4. DISCOUNTED NIGHTWEAR

All nightwear purchased on sale, with a special discount code, or using a credit purchased with Sleep Shirt Points is final sale and is not eligible for refund or exchange. This applies to discount codes applied manually after the order was completed.

Items bought with the newsletter sign up discount code of 15% or using a referral credit are eligible for exchange or a credit note (valid on clothing only.) The exchange must be initiated within 21 days of purchase. Items purchased with the newsletter sign up discount code are not eligible for a refund. All exchanges must be pre-approved by emailing info@thesleepshirt.com. This applies to discount codes applied manually after the order was completed.

5. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES ON NON-CLOTHING ITEMS

Please find our return and exchange policies for blankets, quilts, candles, eyemasks, beauty products, ceramics, and other non-nightwear products.

Please note that if any of the items below were purchased using a discount code or on sale - they are NOT eligible for a refund or exchange.

BLANKETS & QUILTS

We do not offer refunds on Quilts and Blankets. Items in the blanket shop can only be exchanged for a comparable item (ex: an alpaca blanket may only be exchanged for another alpaca blanket, and a quilt may only be exchanged for another quilt.) An exchange is possible up to 21 days after purchase. The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges via the courier of their choice.  In order to exchange a blanket or quilt please email us at info@thesleepshirt.com.

NORVEGR PRODUCTS

Norvegr duvets and pillows can be returned or exchanged within 21 days of purchase, providing the goods are unused and in original condition. In order to return or exchange your duvet or pillow, please email us at info@thesleepshirt.com. The customer will be responsible for the return shipping to Norway.

We will not be able to refund you any original shipping, duties, or taxes from the order, but will be able to advise you on how to proceed to request a refund of duties and taxes from your local customs office.

CANDLES & EYEMASKS

Candles and eyemasks are final sale.

BASKETS & STORAGE

Baskets and hampers are eligible for a refund, but must be returned at customer's expense. Please email us at info@thesleepshirt.com

BEAUTY PRODUCTS

All beauty products are final sale.

UPCYCLE 

All products from the UPCYCLE by The Sleep Shirt range are final sale.

 

6. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES

REFUSED OR UNDELIVERED PACKAGES

If the shipping company fails to reach you in order to deliver the package, we may contact you by email with instructions on how to arrange a delivery. If your item is not final sale, and it is returned, either because it was refused, duties/import fees were not paid, or because the customer did not respond to delivery or pick up requests from the delivery company or ourselves, you will be offered a credit note or refund minus the original shipping fee, the return shipping costs, and a restocking fee of $25 per item. If the item returned was final sale, then the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs, the re-shipping costs, and a $25 processing fee.

Please note that any returns sent directly to our warehouse, without prior approval from The Sleep Shirt, will not be accepted. Please make sure to contact info@thesleepshirt.com for prior approval before returning an item. 

UNRESPONSIVE COMMUNICATIONS

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange on any item if the customer is unresponsive to emails or other communications. Please respond to all communications within two weeks, all offers are rescinded if the customer does not respond within the two week time frame.
