Running a small business is not without its challenges and while every year for us has seen new successes and consistent growth, we still face many hurdles as a company. We have been self-funded to date, which has meant that The Sleep Shirt is limited in resources to properly grow the business. For years we have wanted to launch a collection of t-shirts and now we are ready to do it, with your help.
After years of searching for the perfect t-shirt, one that isn’t too see-through, too short, or covered in logos, we decided to make our own. We started with market research to hear what our customers wanted. After sending out surveys to our loyal clients, interviewing store buyers, and conducting focus groups with our target market, we evaluated the feedback and started to design. We made samples, did fittings on an array of women, and conducted rigorous product testing (including a lot of washing!) to create the ideal t-shirt made in a quality fabric.
Designing a range of t-shirts and making samples isn't a huge expense, but producing the collection, photographing it, and marketing it is. That's why we've decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign on I Fund Women to raise the funds needed to release this new and exciting product line. The funds raised will be used for buying fabrics, launching the first production run, shooting the collection, and marketing it to our existing and new customers. Any additional funds raised will go into future production runs of our t-shirts and sleepwear.

This crowdfunding campaign is not about soliciting donations; we are an established business and are not asking people to fund our project without appropriate recognition and reward.
