Welcome to the Diary

More than just sleepwear, we are about modern comfort and a stylish life

I started The Sleep Shirt around the time I bought a house and started a family. I guess these things naturally mean you suddenly become interested in bedroom curtains and going to bed early – but it also felt like it was time to slow down a bit and re-evaluate the work hard, play hard lifestyle I was living. Don’t get me wrong, I still long for the crazy party nights I used to have (especially when I lived in London), but these days, I long for them much less frequently and am much happier getting eight hours’ sleep whenever I can.

The Sleep Shirt is a sleepwear brand, but as I started to grow the company, I realized that it’s about much more than just good-looking nightshirts. Our retail store, Into The Bedroom, is about a lifestyle that values comfort and wellbeing. Everyone knows that sleep is intrinsically tied to health, so I quickly realized that The Sleep Shirt is as much about designing, creating and promoting high-quality, stylish sleepwear as it is about healthy sleep habits and a balanced, positive lifestyle.

With that, we started seeking out organic beauty products and homewares that fit with our beliefs. As we added luxury down duvets and hand-sewn Amish quilts to the shop, we began transforming The Sleep Shirt into a lifestyle company that represents quality, comfort, and style.

But selling things isn’t the only way to promote the good life. That also comes via sharing the inspirations, tips, and stories we’ve come across along the way. In The Diary, we’ll be doing just that: introducing you to the people behind the brand, giving you a peek at their daily lives, and showing some of the tricks they’ve learned along the way.

Because The Sleep Shirt is more than just sleepwear. We’re about modern comfort and a stylish life.

Best,

Alexandra
